FAQ

Q. Why bad movies? Aren’t good movies more deserving of your time?

A. A lot of people review good movies, and fewer people are willing to sit through and analyze bad ones. Besides, we can still learn from bad movies.

Q. What can be learned from bad movies?

A. You can learn a lot about what not to do, what doesn’t work, and why it doesn’t work. But bad movies also usually have one or two positive traits that do work, and they shine brighter for being embedded in badness.

Q. Why pick on bad movies? If you don’t like them, just don’t watch them.

A. Who said I didn’t like them? They’re fun to pull apart, and again, usually they have some positive traits to hold onto that genuinely deserve praise.

Q. I saw _____ and it wasn’t bad!

A. We’ll have to agree to disagree on that.
